Here's a short and sweet piece of the holiday season. Check out my Patreon and buy my poetry book to support my writing.
When Momma made me a teddy bear, she collected large scraps of pastel fabric. The pastel colors all had either white stripes or polka dots.
"To add character," Momma said.
Once the pieces are sewn together, it is time for the fluff. I am told to hug my teddy bear.
"To fill it with love," Momma explained.
The teddy bear is firm enough to sit up but soft enough to cuddle all night.
"I'll give your bear brown eyes and a brown nose, just like you," said Momma.
With brown thread, the eyes and nose are stitched on. Now it's perfect. END.
