Roaring Walls

If you would like to support my blog visit my Patreon or by buying my poetry book "Living Day By Day" Kindle or "Living Day By Day" paperback.

Maroon paints all the halls and rooms,
in the hotel.
Light from candles or lamps changes the wall's color
to crimson,
Within that deep red lays shifting faces.
Agony is a clear emotion that the faces express.
Peering too closely red arms grasp out,
Claiming whoever is within reach.
New guest are always checking in,
Naturally, space must be made.
A guest can't leave.
Becoming apart of the walls is the only option.
Screaming voices pitch too high,
Allows current guest to worry not and
Appreciating their stay.
