The Human Radio

In this town of nine living people, a young man lived in the radio station. He stays there listening, waiting for someone’s voice; for proof that others are alive. Even though he isn’t alone anymore he has to keep listening.

Static once consumed him before he found the woman and her son. But that wasn’t enough. He has to make sure that no one is alone like he was. He fears that if he doesn’t listen, then he’ll miss whoever is calling out for help. That person would continue to feel alone and be driven to madness. He won’t let that happen. It almost happened to him until that fateful day. He refuses to let it happen to another.

So the young man’s search goes on. The other eight live comfortable lives as he continues to listen to the radio waves. He waits in the station looking for whoever he can. Hope has been given to him, and his obsession with finding more survivors is ingrained into his very being. The other eight survivors still see him from time to time but all he is concerned about is his radio life.
