The moist cave whistles as the breeze race through it. Water drops haunt every step you take, as you journey deeper into the cave's depths. You have but one goal, when you set out during this early spring morning. It was to collect one or both of the hidden wonders deep within this cave. Light fractures off the cave walls guiding your way. The leather soles of your shoes keep you from slipping as a rock beneath your feet shifts. Steadying yourself once more, you travel farther as the light source dims. Checking your watch, you see that it is only the early evening. You've traveled farther than you first thought, and should be closer to the hidden wonders. As the cave's damp darkness obscures your vision, you pull out a flashlight from your linen pants pocket. With your secure light source in hand, you make your way carefully through the uneven rock path. The damp air causes the white cotton shirt to stick uncomfortably to your back. With your beige linen pants clinging to the inside of your thighs and the backs of your knees.
The insistent drops of cave water following your every step, every breath causes you frustration. It's just constant noise and your throat dries. The cave walls glisten with water but it's undrinkable to you. Not a drop can touch your spit moisten lips. Each drop haunts your mind. How much deeper does this cave go? When will you come upon the hidden wonders? Your thirst remains unquenched. The wind mocks you as it whistles by again. Until, before you are the wonders which you seek atop an alter. A golden hammer and crystal cup filled with possible water. While the gold catches your eye, it is water that you desire. You take a drink.
